Foria is free in Alberta
All you need is a valid health card.
Why no fees?
Unlike some other provinces, Alberta fully reimburses doctors for virtual visits. This means you can see a Foria doctor at zero cost.
In Alberta, Foria’s free services are hormone appointments and surgical assessments.
What about therapy?
Foria’s counselling is a paid service because psychotherapists are not covered by Alberta's health system. If you have private health insurance this will often have coverage for counselling. Speak to your insurance provider for more information.

Any community member with healthcare costs that are not covered by provincial health insurance can apply – this includes surgeries, travel and accommodation for surgeries, and counselling.
